Silver & Indigo Wedding Inspiration | Elegant Classy Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

This gorgeous indigo and silver inspiration is one of our favorite features of the Summer/Fall 2016 issue of Vermont Bride magazine. Indigo is a deep and vibrant hue that has many variations in tone, from electric to tropical. Originating in India, it also has the distinction of being one of the world's first widely used dyes for fabrics and textiles. With such an exotic history, it is no surprise that indigo pairs well with lustrous and sparkly silver. The cool tones of silver cut through the depth of indigo for a balance and contrast that is elegant and regal.

To see more images from this gorgeous inspiration be sure to pick up your copy of the Summer/Fall issue! Available where magazines are sold, throughout New England, or on our site.

Love Sets Sail | Wedding Inspiration | Nautical Lake Ideas | Navy Blue and Yellow Color Palette | Anchors and Chevron Stripes

For the next week we will be showing you some sneak peaks of the inspiration features from this issue. Today we are starting with one of our favorites from Sarah Jo Willey, of Creative Muse Floral Design, and Jackie Watson, of Jaclyn Watson Events, and photographed by Paul Reynolds. It is an elegant, nautical design set on the shores of Lake Champlain. With charming white sail boats in the background, and the sparkly blue waters of the lake, and a perfect combination of navy blue stripes and sunny, yellow accents.

Some of our favorite details are the mini messages-in-a-bottle that sever as the place cards for the guests; the eye-catching anchor adorned bread plates; and the fun lemon accents that tie everything together, from the signature cocktail to the centerpiece arrangement. Mercedes & Mark | Montreal Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

Sometimes, wedding days go off without a hitch from start to finish, as pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly together. However, sometimes, this so important day has a few little mishaps up it’s sleeve which turn into anecdotes that feed discussions for years to come. Marc and Mercedes’ wedding day is part of the latter. Mother Nature refused to cooperate for their outdoor, couples photos - which were attempted at a quaint and rustic barn on the way to the church - and they had to schedule a session for a later day. Fortunately, Mercedes and Mark did not mind and they were more than happy to spend the extra time with their guests. For their patience they were rewarded with a gorgeous and sunny day - and the chance to dress up again!

Modern Urban Wedding Inspiration in Downtown Burlington Vermont | Same Sex Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

With so many rustic, barn Vermont weddings, it can be refreshing to see something a little different - like this contemporary, urban styled event in downtown Burlington. With a hip, modern feel and a bold cobalt blue and orange color palette, we think it fits right in with Burlington's artsy vibe. Marriam Khan, of Just Weddings and The Little Purple Cake Shoppe, and Lindsey at Farmhouse Group Events, collaborated to create the vibrant, fun theme that took place at The Farmhouse Tap and Grill. The bold bright colors & textures of locally sourced flowers, in a clean contemporary metal container, paired with the angles and clean lines make a more masculine atmosphere.  Use of metallic colors, like wire on the bout stems also gives it an urban and manly touch. Jamie of Letter10 Creative designed the invitation using 100% cotton paper with a modern lattice design inspired by the couple’s unity rings and customized to feature their initials. A bit of ribbon adds the perfect detail, and coordinated perfectly with the groom’s ties.

With all of the impromptu musical performances and entertainers that frequent downtown Burlington in the summer months, it's the perfect place for a casual reception with a little bit of something for everyone. Enjoy a stroll down the brick street, stopping at art galleries and taking in historical city hall and the church that gives the street it's name.

Mini, bite-sized cupcakes made of red velvet with a cream cheese frosting are tastefully decorated with custom cupcake wraps, hand cut to match the color theme and topped with the couple's initials. Matching cake pops are a fun and delicious favor and go perfectly with the menus and place setting. Both grooms are sporting bold and eye-catching ties from Beau Ties Ltd. The “Gerbera” pattern of the fabric is a soft woven silk. The bow tie is a standard prettied, and the necktie is a standard skinny.

Fair Isle Fete

Fair Isle Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

"Fair Isle" refers to both a style of knitting, but also a tiny island off the northern coast of Scotland. Noted for its charming graphic patterns and colors, Fair Isle is a cozy accent that is equally at home in the wintery lodge or a country garden. The lush mountains of Vermont are the perfect place for recreating the rugged, hilly landscape of the northern British Isles. Add in some fairy-inspired flower crowns, rustic wooden bowls, a soft cable-knit sweater or scarf, and you have the ingredients for a timeless, old-world celebration.

Maria & Justin | Real Vermont Wedding | Rustic Winter Barn Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

The chill of the winter snow did not dampen the warm, heartfelt mood at Maria and Justin's festive wedding at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort. The softly falling snow only added to the romantic and cozy ambiance of the rustic-barn-in-the-woods feeling. Snowflakes and skis adorned the venue and the newly wed couple took an intimage and magical ride through the snowy trees on a horse-drawn sleigh. Read more about Maria and Justin's love story and to see more photos in our newest issue, available now!

Valerie & Andrew's Vermont Barn Wedding | Real Love Stories | Vermont Bride Magazine

Valerie and Andrew's wedding was full of unique and amazing country details, like antique door frames propped in the field as an entrance to the ceremony, or a rustic barn board surface set up as a guest book where the guests could draw or write messages to the happy couple. The bright yellow sunflowers popped against the deep, blue sky and the rustic, country soiree went on well into the night. Kristyn & Eric's Bright and Colorful Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

With her background in design and her skills as a baker and business owner, it is no surprise that Kristyn's wedding came together with a bounty of color and stylish details. The jaw droppingly beautiful estate that served as their venue was set in the valley of the foothills of Vermont. Towering trees and soft mossy lawns served as the backdrop and bright pops of color from every direction, made it come alive. Each piece was pulled together effortlessly and created a magical backdrop for Eric and Kristyn's day.

Kristen & Jeff's Queechee Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

Kristen & Jeff’s wedding took place at the beautiful Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm on a perfect Summer’s day. Their vision for the day was to enjoy a relaxed evening celebration with their closest family and friends. They kept things simple and elegant with a nice touch of summer entertainment in the form of lawn games and a campfire. It was a fabulous celebration and a perfect way to start the next chapter in their life together. Their wedding is proof that you don't need a huge guest list or an over-the-top celebration to create an elegant and timeless event full of beautiful details.

Meg & Ryan's Cape Cod Beach Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

Meg and Ryan's seaside nuptials shined and sparkled like the glittering water off the coast of Cape Cod. Meg dreamed of a wedding fit for a mermaid, and she got it, with adirondack chairs, sea star cookies that doubled as favors and place cards, sea glass and seashell inspired decor, beach balls, and a gorgeous day at the beach! The blue and white color palette was the perfect compliment to the surrounding, sunshine filled setting. You can't get any more quintessential Cape Cod than sailboats drifting in the background, a towering display of shrimp, and classic wooden sunglasses. Their family even surprised them with their charming yellow lab joining in as the ring bearer!
