Chelsea and Thomas had just made a life-altering commitment with each other - the purchase of their first home together, in Underhill, Vermont - when Thomas presented Chelsea with another, his marriage proposal. It may seem a little home-spun, but for Chelsea and Thomas home-spun is just their speed. They grew up together, going to elementary and high school together, in the small town of Hinesburg, Vermont. Their wedding day was full of personal, home-spun touches from their closest friends and family. Here is more on what Chelsea had to share about their special day:

Real Wedding | Gina & Tim

GinaTim Main2

Gina and Tim frequently "get away from it all" at Gina's father's log cabin in the woods of Vermont, and they knew they wanted their friends and family to have that same feeling at their June wedding. Their whimsical, rustic celebration started with an intimate ceremony under a covered bridge. With the sound of the babbling brook beneath them, and those closest to their hearts around them, Gina and Tim exchanged "I dos". The elegant Hermitage Inn provided the perfect backdrop for the rest of the day's festivities. Here are some highlights from Gina;

Color Palette from Wedding Palettes

Valentine's Day has been around, as we now celebrate it, since the 18th century, when English lovers would send each other flowers, confections, and little notes called 'valentines'. Some people loathe the holiday, calling it a 'Greeting Card' invention to generate more sales, but love it or hate it, V-Day is securely embedded into our holiday schedule. As many as six million people are planning or expecting a proposal on Valentine's Day, which accounts for 10% of marriage proposals.

Whether you are one of the six million, or you are planning a pink and red, or heart themed wedding, there is tons of fun inspiration out there! The traditional images of hearts, doves, and Cupid, as well as the colors pink and red, have become synonomous with the celebration of Valentine's Day, but also can easily be carried over to wedding decor no matter what time of the year it is.

Natural elegance was the theme for this light and fresh wedding, captured by Civic Photos. Morgan and Kyle were married under a vine covered pergola at the Tuscan Courtyards, in Texas City, as ribbons and candles swayed around them in the breeze. Lots of personal history could be found in the details, like the program which featured fun facts about the couple and their relationship. Each bridesmaid wore a different style of dress, befit their personality, which went perfectly with the laid back, casual feel the couple wanted to portray. It was the perfect blend of traditional, sophisticated decor and comfortable, home-spun ambiance.

Big Tupper Ski Lodge is, according to their website, a "basic, no frills, affordable ski/snowboarding experience for individuals and families."  However, "basic" and "no frills" couldn't be FURTHER from the truth when it came to Bridget and Daniel's wedding day. They completely transformed the bare-bones lodge into a beautiful reception filled with lights hanging on tree branches, glowing lanterns, and simple rustic elegance. Almost everything was done by family members, friends, and other people who helped pull things together. The inspiration for the wedding came from Bridget's idea of "Burlap and Birch" but her mother (who recently started her own wedding event design business) is the true artist and knew that they could pull together a beautiful wedding that was on a budget.

Elmore State Park, Elmore, Vermont

Jeannette and Joseph's nature themed wedding was full of enchanting details that blended in beautifully with the breathtaking Lake Elmore landscape. The L.A. based couple chose Vermont for their destination nuptials because of Jeannette's fond childhood vacation memories. They chose butterflies to tie in Joseph's Chinese heritage and birds to honor Jeannette's grandmother, an avid bird watcher and painter, who passed away a few months before their wedding. Here are some other detailes Jeannette shared with us about their big day:

If you like having fun, games, and pops of bright color, then a carnival themed wedding will be right up your alley. Carnivals evoke an old-fashioned feel of ring-toss, balloons, and strolling under strings of lights. Add in the aroma of fried dough, candy apples, and popcorn - and you have yourself a perfect, fun-filled day. It's no wonder that carnival and fair themed weddings have been popular for many years and are still going strong. There is unlimited color palette potential, as long as you incorporate something bright, bold, and cheerful. And you can make it as casual or elaborate as you want - with custom candy stations, lawn games, fair-inspired appetizers, bunches of balloons, and punchy fabrics.
