Scarlet & Dusty Blue Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

Red and blue is a classic color combination that never goes out of style. Give it a modern twist with a sensuous shade of scarlet red and dusty blue with soft gray accents. This bold and powerful duo fit just as easily in a rustic, barn theme as a modern, industrial setting. With July Fourth right around the corner we couldn't think of a better time to share these gorgeous images from our Summer/Fall 2016 issue of Vermont Bride magazine. Valentine's Day Picnic | Red and Pink Wedding Inspiration | Vermont Bride Magazine

Being in the wedding magazine business pretty much sets you up to fall in love with love, so every day is like Valentine's Day. But when February 14th rolls around each year we still get just as excited as you! All the electricity in the air from new relationships to new engagements, it makes our hearts go pitter-patter. So when we saw this Valentine's Day Picnic inspiration, by Staged Fine by Design, we immediately wanted to settle into the soft pillows, pop a chocolate or two, and snuggle with our sweethearts.

It might be too cold still in Vermont for a woodland picnic on V-day, but re-create this scene in front of a nice big fireplace and we're there!

Fall Wedding with Vibrant Red Color Palette | Vermont Bride Magazine

Aran and Michele traveled all the way from Florida to get married in the Bride’s home state, Vermont. They must have brought the sunshine with them, because the weather was just perfect. Nice and sunny to make those autumnal colors pop!  We love their, classic and timeless, red and black color palette - it is perfectly complimentary to the colors of fall.

You could not have asked for a more gorgeous day than the one Karla and Miles had for their wedding at The Hildene in Manchester, Vermont. The sky was the perfect shade of blue and the sun illuminated the stunning foliage in the gardens at The Hildene, making it seem like something out of a fairytale. With stunning mountain vistas, bluebird skies, and a garden bursting with colors, it was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple.

Fenway Wedding Main

Nothing evokes the feeling of summer quite like hot dogs, Cracker Jacks, and baseball. As the snow starts to melt and we gear up for the next season, let your heart warm up with this gorgeous styled shoot from Kelly Cronin Photography. Set in Fenway, our country's oldest baseball stadium, with it's just-worn-enough patina and charming, vintage style, it has all the necessary elements for an iconic event.

A light blue summer suit with shorts paired with a bowtie and navy Keds is a perfect pairing to the bride's short and sleeveless sheer number. The kelly green backdrop of the Green Monster goes perfectly with glittery, gold accessories and who wouldn't love to find this bling as their Cracker Jack prize?

Color Palette from Wedding Palettes

Valentine's Day has been around, as we now celebrate it, since the 18th century, when English lovers would send each other flowers, confections, and little notes called 'valentines'. Some people loathe the holiday, calling it a 'Greeting Card' invention to generate more sales, but love it or hate it, V-Day is securely embedded into our holiday schedule. As many as six million people are planning or expecting a proposal on Valentine's Day, which accounts for 10% of marriage proposals.

Whether you are one of the six million, or you are planning a pink and red, or heart themed wedding, there is tons of fun inspiration out there! The traditional images of hearts, doves, and Cupid, as well as the colors pink and red, have become synonomous with the celebration of Valentine's Day, but also can easily be carried over to wedding decor no matter what time of the year it is.

Nothing is more classic that a red, white, and blue color palette. With iconic stars and stripes, it's no wonder that a patriotic themed wedding has been popular for as long as we've been baking apple pies. We here at Vermont Bride wish you and your families a very Happy Fourth of July!

If you like having fun, games, and pops of bright color, then a carnival themed wedding will be right up your alley. Carnivals evoke an old-fashioned feel of ring-toss, balloons, and strolling under strings of lights. Add in the aroma of fried dough, candy apples, and popcorn - and you have yourself a perfect, fun-filled day. It's no wonder that carnival and fair themed weddings have been popular for many years and are still going strong. There is unlimited color palette potential, as long as you incorporate something bright, bold, and cheerful. And you can make it as casual or elaborate as you want - with custom candy stations, lawn games, fair-inspired appetizers, bunches of balloons, and punchy fabrics.

We are in love with the bold, rich colors in this foliage-fueled fantasy design from Sarah Jo Willey. With wood-lined fields, striking fall mountains, and an iconic red barn - Sarah Jo, owner of Creative Muse Floral Design, captures the essence of harvest time in Vermont. Enjoy this preview of all the gorgeousness, and find more from this photo shoot in our Summer/Fall print edition.

The weather outside might be warming up and the leaves are turning green instead of bright reds and oranges, but we have been saving this rusticly charming wedding to share on our blog for far too long! Birch arbors, cafe lighted barns, and a tractor driven transport epitomize a country classic Vermont wedding. Add in unique details, such as origami paper flower bouquets and a plethora of pies in place of a cake, and you have the perfect recipe for a sweet day of matrimony in the Green Mountains.
