Amy & Tim Real Vermont Wedding | Isham Family Farm | Williston, Vermont | Vermont Bride Magazine

Friends since their freshman year at the University of Vermont, Amy and Tim dated for seven years before Tim popped the question under a giant oak tree at a surprise picnic. The couple were living in New Orleans at the time, which was a consideration at first for their wedding location, but the meaning that Vermont held for them won out in the end. The beautiful views and weather in the summer helped tip the scales as well.

Looking for a venue that was not too cookie-cutter, they fell in love with the laid-back atmosphere at Isham Family Farm. Amy and Tim knew it was a place they would look forward to visiting throughout the years. They even cut down their first Christmas tree as a married couple on the farm this past winter.

Christen & Jeremy Real Vermont Wedding | The Ponds at Bolton Valley | Vermont Bride Magazine

Christen and Jeremy have an impeccable eye for detail and spent countless hours making everything perfect for their big celebration. They taught themselves how to do letterpress for their invites, coasters, and signage. Then they even grew the flowers to place along the fireplace. Handmade table settings and a plethora of family photographs made it clear that everything was done with the utmost care and love. They had beautiful blue skies for their ceremony, and the rains didn't arrive until the reception, which helped to drop the temperature a bit for their guests to dance it up all night on the dance floor. A sparkler sendoff was the picture-perfect ending to a beautiful day.

With the recent rise in microbreweries, and their loyal followers, it is not surprising that many couples are making their favorite beer selections a focal point of their reception. It certainly helps that Vermont boasts forty microbreweries of its own, making it number one in the nation for microbrews per capita. With so many to choose from it is easy to find something for every discerning taste.

This beer infused wedding inspiration is fun, fresh, and casual - with a good dose of romantic pink touches and vintage flair. We love the incorporation of hop buds in the tablescape and who wouldn't want a set of customized pint glasses or a growler etched with your wedding date? Lauren & Justin | Real Vermont Wedding | The Round Barn, Warren, Vermont | Vermont Bride Magazine

We love the rustic, woodsy details of Lauren and Justin's wedding at the Round Barn in Warren. Lauren and Justin chose Vermont for their celebration after enjoying countless weekends skiing in the Green Mountains. The soft, green foliage mixed with weather-worn wood, and a touch of moss, and of course beautiful flowers - it was truly a country fairytale held in a charming barn. How much more "Vermont" can you get than that?

Maria & Justin | Real Vermont Wedding | Rustic Winter Barn Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

The chill of the winter snow did not dampen the warm, heartfelt mood at Maria and Justin's festive wedding at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort. The softly falling snow only added to the romantic and cozy ambiance of the rustic-barn-in-the-woods feeling. Snowflakes and skis adorned the venue and the newly wed couple took an intimage and magical ride through the snowy trees on a horse-drawn sleigh.  Vanessa & Alek | Real Vermont Wedding | Burlington Waterfront | Echo Lake Aquarium | Vermont Bride Magazine

Vanessa and Alek's waterside wedding took place at Echo Lake Aquarium and Science Center, and took full advantage of the gorgeous Lake Champlain views. We are completely swooning over the bridal party's arrival via sailboat - yeah that's right, they floated across the lake to the waiting guests on a boat! Classicly romantic is the perfect way to describe the scene. To read more about Vanessa and Alek's love story, and to view more photos, pick up the latest issue, (Winter/Spring 2016 edition), of Vermont Bride, available now on our website, (here), or at select retailers throughout New England!

Valerie & Andrew's Vermont Barn Wedding | Real Love Stories | Vermont Bride Magazine

Valerie and Andrew's wedding was full of unique and amazing country details, like antique door frames propped in the field as an entrance to the ceremony, or a rustic barn board surface set up as a guest book where the guests could draw or write messages to the happy couple. The bright yellow sunflowers popped against the deep, blue sky and the rustic, country soiree went on well into the night. Rustic Fall Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

It's hard to believe that fall is just around the corner, but soon the leaves of the green mountains will start to explode in vibrant shades or red, orange, and yellow. Autumn in Vermont is truly one of the most beautiful sights, so it is no wonder that many couples choose this time of year to have their wedding. Rustic red barns, exposed beams, candles, and festive pumpkins are just some of the elements that make this fall wedding the perfect inspiration for foliage season.

Laura and Jeremy used lanterns and votive candles to add warmth to the chilly September air, and the color palette of burnt orange, sage green, and apple red brightened the rustic, barn venue. Chinese lanterns lifting off at the end of the evening were a festive and unique alternative to the more summery sparkler send-off.

Stephanie & Robby's Safari Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

Robby and Stephanie dreamed of a rustic style wedding full of sentiment and designed to pull the heartstrings. They met in Kindergarten and both have a special place in their heart for animals, especially since Stephanie's father is part owner of Safari Wilderness Ranch. Stephanie and Robby decided that the barn at the ranch was the perfect backdrop for their nuptials and celebration. Stephanie's vision of a romantic, simple, rustic, yet elegant wedding was filled with vintage details such as authentic butter churns, mason jars, mini cobbler favors made on site, custom made beer bar, and customized mason jar placecards. The day included the most perfect weather for an outdoor intimate ceremony, breathtaking flowers and gorgeous dresses. Stephanie and Robby were wed surrounded by their loved ones and wild African and Asian animals.

Dayna & Brad | Dairy Barn Vermont Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

For their wedding, Dayna and Brad wanted the experience to be fun and lighthearted, with personal meaning behind most every aspect. Thanks to the hard work of their family, artist friends, and wedding vendors everything came together beautifully. The venue held exceptional importance to them, as it was a century old barn that Dayna's grandfather and brothers built as their first family dairy farm, milking 12 head of cows. Her father and his six siblings were born at the farm house, and her father farmed with his dad there and at the newer “big farm” his whole life. Overlooking Lake Willoughby and the mountains surrounding it makes the “Little Farm” such a perfect setting for a romantic natural wedding.

Since it had been used for storage for roughly 60 years, it was quite the undertaking to ready the barn for the wedding. The floor and loft needed to be gutted and rebuilt and it took most of the summer, and many helping hands, to complete. Now, with a new floor, polished posts and beams, fixed roof, and new windows, this gorgeous space with an amazing view made a wonderful backdrop for their wedding. They also fixed up the old milk house and renovated it into the “Milk House Bar” where drinks were served.
