Whether you are celebrating special friends, a special occasion, valuable clients or employees, Classic Consort can add the touch of elegance that makes memories. Here is what Bonnie had to say when we asked her some questions about her long career as a classical musician at weddings:

WHY DID YOU BECIDE TO BECOME A MUSICIAN AND FORM CLASSIC CONSORT?

I decided to become a professional musician because I wanted to play my instrument as much as possible. Classic Consort grew out of my desire to organize wedding music as a collaboration with the bride and groom. I wanted to offer guidance when needed so the overall product would be appropriate and a joy to all involved. And I wanted to be there at the weddings, performing and making sure everything went as planned.

WHAT IS THE MOST MEMORABLE OR UNIQUE PIECE YOU HAVE PERFORMED FOR A WEDDING?

The  most memorable piece of music we have performed at a wedding is "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film The Mission (music composed by Ennio Morricone). It is powerful and very beautiful. A bride wanted it for her processional. We now use it for concerts as well.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT PERFORMING FOR WEDDINGS?

I love being part of joyous occasions and expressing that joy in the music we play.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR COUPLES WHEN PLANNING THEIR CEREMONY MUSIC?

I would advise couples to seek counsel from a professional musician when planning their wedding music. For example, some music works well as a processional but may be too solemn for the recessional. And it's important to save the most declamatory, or poignant music for the entrance of the bride.
