Brandon Inn

Brandon Inn Vermont Weddings

The historic Brandon Inn flanks the village green and is the center-piece of the charming, New England town of Brandon, Vermont.

Historic Ambiance with Gracious Hospitality As one of the oldest inns in the continental U.S., the Brandon Inn traces its roots back more than two hundred years to 1786, when Jacob Simonds opened a small, one story tavern on the Brandon Village Green.

Wedding Receptions in Vermont!

Imagine your bride drifting down the broad staircase to the admiration of friends gathered in the parlor by a crackling fire. She is radiant, and there is a toast. Laughter. Firelight. The piano plays a family favorite. Exquisite hors d'oeuvres circulate discreetly. It is a moment to remember. And there are many more to come.

The Neshobe Tavern is a cozy and intimate place for casual get together's the night before the wedding. The Elegant Pier Mirror Ballroom lends itself to the wedding ceremony, cocktails and dancing after dinner.

The Garden Room with its French doors onto the pool terraces and barbeque area lends itself to casual barbecues or rehearsals with an outdoor feel and theme. The Seeley Estabrook Dining Room combined with adjoining Wicker Room and Garden Room can accommodate up to 280 people. Or, as the sun is setting, on our sweeping back lawns, bordered by the Neshobe River, a reception under a white tent. With such spaciousness and flexibility, all ceremonies and receptions are possible at the Inn.

A full country breakfast is included in the overnight guest rate. The four-storied Brandon Inn has 39 guest rooms, all with private bath.

On the main floor is The Lobby, Dining Rooms, Pub and Ballroom, and there is an elevator available which accesses all rooms. Each guest room has air conditioning, a clock radio, and a telephone. Although there are not televisions in the individual rooms, guests may watch the large screen television in the main living room or a TV in one of our two public TV rooms.

History

The Brandon Inn started out as a single story tavern built back in 1786 by Jacob Simons. Since then the Inn has under gone many transformations. The Inn is now considered as a Dutch Colonial Style building listed with the National Register of Historic Buildings. Today the Brandon Inn retains all of its elegance and charm as it did in the earlier days.

The Brandon Inn has a lovely closed-in front porch which is a lovely place to rock in your chair and watch the people strolling by, or simply read a book. Also, there is an outdoor pool which is open during the summer months.
