
1. Make your own wedding favors with flower bags filled with tulip, lily, dahlia, muscari, and gladiolus bulbs. A wonderful reminder of your love and commitment for your guests.

10. Double-duty flowers: Flowers used at the ceremony can be used again at the reception. Bouquets can be placed in vases or glasses to line the head table. Baskets, swags, arbors, and wreaths can be used to adorn doors and tables.
11. Is the flower girl very young or shy about walking the aisle by herself? Consider partnering her with the ring bearer or a bridesmaid.
12. Engraving has come a long way; consider special words or symbols in lieu of the traditional date on the inside of those shiny wedding rings.

14. Register for gifts at least 6 months prior to the wedding.
15. Extra fabric from the dress? Keep it to make a purse, garter, or hairpiece.
16. Extra beads from the dress? Ask your florist to string them and weave throughout the flowers in your bouquet. This adds elegance and shine. Feature a few in the groom’s boutonnière.
