You may have a vision of how you want the overall event to go, but keep some flexibility in your plans. You never know when a great idea will hit you that you can incorporate. Also, it is a big day where there are a lot of players at work. Little things can get forgotten or go wrong. Don't let it bother you. By Sabrina (Sikora) Dommenge

Our Engagement:

After living in New York for eight months and getting settled and us living together, we both new that the next step was coming up. On a cold evening at the end of January he called and asked if I wanted Chinese for dinner, I said sounded great to me. He brought home dinner, and after we were just relaxing and snuggling on the couch together. As the night progressed he started playing all these What If….. Games with me, I of course had no idea what was going on or what he was doing. After about an hour of playing, he asked me to follow him into the bedroom, and I did. He then asked me to sit on the bed while he went into his sock drawer, and pulled out a box. Box in hand, he got down on one knee, and said that he loved me, and has always loved me, and that I would make him the happiest man in the world if I would spend the rest of my life with him. He said that our love was beshert . It is a Yiddish term that means “destiny”. I started to cry, and of course said YES!!!!!

Most Memorable Details:

Our whole wedding was so memorable. We had known each other for eighteen years, and our wedding day was finally here. It was a dream come true. We were finally getting married to each others soul mate. To our Beshert, our one true love. I do have to say that for both of us the Ketubah ceremony was the most memorable. The tradition of the Ketubah signing is a private ceremony between the bride, groom and their parents. The Ketubah signing is a significant element of a Jewish Ceremony. The bride and groom are married according to Jewish Law. It was very emotional, and very beautiful.
All the details of the day were magical and memorable. We could not have been happier. I wish that time could had stood still just a little. We both didn’t want the day to end. We will both remember this magical day for the rest of our lives.
