Your wedding day has finally arrived. The photographer is waiting downstairs with your bridesmaids and parents. As you slip on your gown, the phone rings. It is the Best man informing you that your fiance has been rushed to the hospital and is undergoing an emergency appendectomy.
Unfortunately, stories like this and some a great deal worse can and do occur. If your wedding needs to be postponed due to unforeseeable circumstances, will your costs be recoverable?
If you purchased proper wedding insurance, then your answer will be a fearless yes. If you did not, then you will have to pay many of the costs even if the wedding and reception never take place. Think about all the effort, time and money you and your loved ones have invested into making your wedding memorable, is not insuring the costs will be recoverable the least you can do?
Wedding disasters come in many forms and cost levels. Some may not ruin the entire wedding, but may cause needless expense.
The bridal gown or grooms tuxedo could get lost or damaged. What if the wedding rings are stolen the night before the wedding? Or if a vendor declares bankruptcy just days before your wedding or fails to show up on your wedding day and a new, but more costly, vendor must be used?
Severe weather, such as a hurricane or blizzard, may force you to cancel the wedding. What if the bride or groom is unexpectedly called up to military duty and you must postpone the event?
Needless to say, there are many more scenarios that can occur, but with the proper wedding insurance you can your reduce your financial losses. The average cost of a wedding in the United States is approximately $27,000. If you were spending that much on a car, would not you insure it? So, why not protect one of the most important days of your life by purchasing wedding insurance?
