WEDDING DATE: August 11, 2018
Erica & Jared Gordon - Vermont Wedding

The Romance...
Like many others these days, we met online—on Jdate. From reading his profile, I saw we had so much in common, from having gone to the same high school, to both having lived in South Florida. We began messaging each other, but our first date had to be put off because I was leaving for a trip with my mom.

Jared called me twice on vacation, and both times I couldn’t talk. I texted him to let him know, but was worried he’d think I wasn’t interested! I let him know I’d call once I got home, and I did. We set up our first date for Friday, October 2, 2015. We went bowling and split a pizza. I thought he was very cute and felt a connection to him right away. Early on, I have to say, I could see Jared being “the one.

After a couple months, Jared expressed his interest in looking to buy a house and wanted me to look with him and move in with him. Jared bought a new townhouse in January 2016, and we moved in together in July 2016.

Zara & Daniel Convery Australia wedding

The Romance & Proposal...
We met 4 years ago when Daniel came to dance for my Ballet School in Canberra.

It was Christmas day and he took me on a very long walk around a beautiful part of Melbourne. When we arrived back at his parent's house, he took me into a quiet room and knelt down on one knee and asked would I marry him. I cried and laughed and jumped into his arms. Mind you, at first, I was just as excited thinking he had adopted a dog for us and that I was going to get it as a present. But a diamond ring from my wonderful man more than made up for the lack of a dog that Christmas day.

The Romance…
In the modern day of technology, John & Alison's paths crossed due to a friend's attempt to provoke John to make a jokingly remark on a random Facebook picture he tagged John on…. John being easily provoked followed through with his friends wishes and commented on a picture of a young lady taking a bite out of a woman's foot (meanwhile John did not know either of them). While we won't get into John's remarks it struck an "FB friendship" that would soon grow into much more. While never actually engaging in conversation with each other, John would randomly tag Alison on pictures of himself only to get a one word comment or so in regards to the picture. While being out on the town one night in the lovely city of Waterbury, John was stumbling into Vasi's fine establishment for after hours while this pretty young lady was on her way out. John shouted out from across the parking lot, "Alison!?!" Mind you they have never met in person … she responded with "How do you know my name?" then quickly recognizing him said – "OHHH Facebook"… John charmingly let her know that she was much prettier in person than in pictures as she squeezed his muscles and said "you're much bigger in person than I expected" …. Then they parted their separate ways not even exchanging numbers... real smooth John … only to receive an early morning Facebook message from Alison titled "bf" ….text me. 203.XXX.XXXX ….. then the rest is history. Fast forward to 4 years and 10 months later .....

How and where did you meet? Eddie and I met in Philly about 10 years ago.  It’s a funny story, we met through my ex-boyfriend who was Eddie’s landlord at that time.  We remained friends through several other relationships and then we were finally single at the same time, and decided to give the dating thing a try.  Best decision we ever made!!

What was the proposal like? The proposal was so unexpected and hilarious.  We all joke that he did it “Eddie style”.  We drove up from Philly to Vermont for a friend’s birthday weekend.  We were all siting on the deck of our friend’s house and Eddie walked out the screen door and tripped and fell right in front of me.  I was so concerned about him and trying to pick him up, and also wondering why no one was helping him.  I even grabbed the ring out of his hand and placed it on the tablet next to me, not realizing what I had just had in my hand.  It finally dawned on me that I had just put an engagement ring on the table, and that is when he asked me.  In front of all of our friends.  It was perfect and hysterical at the same time.  I still laugh when thinking about it.
