Kristen & Jeff's Queechee Wedding | Vermont Bride Magazine

Kristen & Jeff’s wedding took place at the beautiful Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm on a perfect Summer’s day. Their vision for the day was to enjoy a relaxed evening celebration with their closest family and friends. They kept things simple and elegant with a nice touch of summer entertainment in the form of lawn games and a campfire. It was a fabulous celebration and a perfect way to start the next chapter in their life together. Their wedding is proof that you don't need a huge guest list or an over-the-top celebration to create an elegant and timeless event full of beautiful details.

Brian and Keri’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and laughter. An intimate gathering with close friends and family in the beautiful Danforth Inn, complete with gorgeous flowers and amazing food, it was a perfect (and very snowy) Valentine’s Day marriage. I just love it when couples read handwritten vows, and Keri and Brian’s were so genuine, heartfelt and funny – that I have no doubt that these two have a long life of happiness together in raising their daughter. They also had one of my favorite kiss-moments, when Brian surprised Keri with a step stool before planting the official kiss – so adorable. And thoughtful. And fun. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful day, love birds. It was hands-down my favorite Valentine’s Day ever (shhh, don’t tell the Hubbs!)

Probably one of the single most important decisions to make regarding your wedding, after the actual date, would be what venue to host it at. For those that have day-dreamed about their wedding day, and already started planning it pre-engagement, this may be an easy task - but for most it is a difficult decision. Often guest count and budget come into play when narrowing down the options, but also the type of venue is an important factor to consider. Vermont has many different styles of venues and locations to choose from and the number of choices can be overwhelming.

If you live in Vermont, starting with venues close by can be an obvious place to start. However, don't let distance discourage you from venturing out beyond your 'burb. Many venues offer on-site accommodations which can be well worth the cost as it eliminates the need for other expenses, such as transportation, and all of your guests can stay at the same place allowing the party to extend later into the night and the entire weekend. Plus you have the added benefit of discovering a new part of Vermont and avoiding having your wedding at the same venue as all of your friends.

With so many venues to pick from, it can be hard to decide, but there are some basic factors that should go into your decision:
