Tropical Getaway Wedding Inspiration
The budget conscious couple may not be able to have a tropical destination wedding, but you can easily transform any setting into a tropical oasis using the right flowers, colors, and decorations. The lush combination of pale yellows, vibrant red and orange, and creamy whites instantly adds a warm, summery vibe. The large green leaves are an easy and add another stylish layer to the exotic, wood chargers. Throw in some mercury glass candles and gold accents and you have an elegant, equatorial look that can be adapted to any setting.
Kristin & Ian | Massachusetts Wedding Inspiration
Kristin and Ian grew up not too far from each other - she in Massachusettes, and he in nearby Vermont - but it was at a bar in Boston that fate arranged for them to meet. After Kristin's friend literally pushed her to strike up a conversation with Ian (she really did nudge them together!), the rest was history. They both love to travel and the couple even lived in Nicaragua for a few months and have been back to visit several times since. But it was back in Vermont, while snowshowing on Ian's mother's property in Woodstock, that he proposed.
Kristin and Ian decided to hold their wedding at Ian's family's farm for the woodsy, rustic vibe they were looking for. Kristin even held a yoga class for friends and family in the upstairs of a barn on the morning of the wedding. The ceremony was held on a small hill overlooking the pond with a reception under a tent nearby. Wild flowers and mason jars adorned the tables and the couple gave out seeds as favors. Kristin's father is Armenian and her whole family joined him on the dance floor for a traditional Armenian dance called a "Baurd", and set the tone for the party for the rest of the night!

Jessica & Chris | Essex, Vermont
We have several gorgeous real weddings featured in our newest issue, the Winter/Spring 2017 issue of Vermont Bride Magazine. Over the course of the next two weeks we will be giving little sneak previews of each wedding, with additional photos to the ones that are featured in the magazine itself. Each one is unique and beautiful in it's own way, and Jessican and Chris' wedding is no exception to that, with its bright and airy details like blush pink table runners and pink and white bouquets.
Jessica and Chris are the opposite of fussy-they wanted a wedding that was simple, inclusive, and above all, authentic. They wanted their family and friends to feel how important they meant and how they each played a role on their journey that led to their union. Every detail that went into their wedding had a personal touch and held special significance to the couple. Summer 2016 Issue Sneak Peak | Love Sets Sail
The Vermont Bride Summer/Fall 2016 issue is full of gorgeous and inspiring images covering everything wedding, from flowers, cakes, favors, decor, and more! We are so excited about our biggest issue ever and the amazing talented wedding professionals that helped us put it together. Whether you are planning a mountainside ceremony or a rustic barn celebration, there is something in this issue for everyone.
For the next week we will be showing you some sneak peaks of the inspiration features from this issue. Today we are starting with one of our favorites from Sarah Jo Willey, of Creative Muse Floral Design, and Jackie Watson, of Jaclyn Watson Events, and photographed by Paul Reynolds. It is an elegant, nautical design set on the shores of Lake Champlain. With charming white sail boats in the background, and the sparkly blue waters of the lake, and a perfect combination of navy blue stripes and sunny, yellow accents.
Some of our favorite details are the mini messages-in-a-bottle that sever as the place cards for the guests; the eye-catching anchor adorned bread plates; and the fun lemon accents that tie everything together, from the signature cocktail to the centerpiece arrangement. To see more photos from this feature, get your copy of the Vermont Bride Magazine Summer/Fall 2016 issue today!

Gabrielle & Steve | Quebec Wedding Inspiration
This sweet wedding, submitted to us by Annie Roy Imagine, is a fresh dose of romance and light. Given the current weather we are experiencing in the Northeast, we couldn't resist posting these warm pictures from Gabrielle and Steve's wedding in Quebec. Simple and airy, with a clean, white palette - it is the perfect summer inspiration to get us thinking about warmer weather, frolicking in fields dotted with flowers, and celebrating outside.

Cape Cod Wedding Inspiration | Meg & Ryan
Meg and Ryan's seaside nuptials shined and sparkled like the glittering water off the coast of Cape Cod. Meg dreamed of a wedding fit for a mermaid, and she got it, with adirondack chairs, sea star cookies that doubled as favors and place cards, sea glass and seashell inspired decor, beach balls, and a gorgeous day at the beach! The blue and white color palette was the perfect compliment to the surrounding, sunshine filled setting. You can't get any more quintessential Cape Cod than sailboats drifting in the background, a towering display of shrimp, and classic wooden sunglasses. Their family even surprised them with their charming yellow lab joining in as the ring bearer!
Real Wedding | Tia & Daniel
Tia and Daniel's beautifully rustic and simple wedding took place down a bumpy, dirt road, far from any cell service but surrounded by the rural oasis of Vermont. Wild flower bouquets a billowy, bohemian gown, and a daisy chain crown set the tone for this down-to-earth celebration of love and togetherness. Throw in some wood-fired pizza, organic honey favors, and a lot of laughter, and you have the makings of a truly Vermont made wedding. Their laid back, campgroud gathering was complete with homemade pies, handmade signs, and a charming cabin.
Real Wedding | Julia & Dave
Julia and Dave's modern, country style could not have more accurately reflected the beautiful nature of Vermont. With sweeping mountains for a backdrop, and drooping willow trees embracing their outdoor ceremony, Vermon't most glorious season of summer was very apparent. We especially love their watercolored scenic landscape invitation and the warm glow of rustic lanterns adorning every nook and cranny of their charming, old-world barn reception.
Georgia Wedding Inspiration | Jess and Matt
Today we are bringing you some charming wedding inspiration from the peach state of Georgia! Jess and Matt's late May nuptuals took place at Pineola Farms, a 12 acre pecan orchard - a fitting backdrop for their modern-country style. The fusion of styles came together beautifully, from cowgirl boots paired with a crystal belted flare gown, to gray chevron striped tablecloths paired with rustic, wild flowers atop chunky wood slices. The event was capped off with a vintage, green pickup truck for the perfect photo opps.
Jess and Matt's color palette consisted of shades of teal and white, with wood and chalkboard details. The bouquets were rustic bunches of local wild flowers bound with burlap, which were echoed in the centerpieces on the tables. Billowy white paper pom poms adorned the seats and arbor at the ceremony, which echoed Jess' wedding gown skirt. Overall, we think Jess and Matt did a fabulous job at combining sleek, modern elements with a rustic setting.
Texas Wedding Inspiration | Morgan & Kyle
Natural elegance was the theme for this light and fresh wedding, captured by Civic Photos. Morgan and Kyle were married under a vine covered pergola at the Tuscan Courtyards, in Texas City, as ribbons and candles swayed around them in the breeze. Lots of personal history could be found in the details, like the program which featured fun facts about the couple and their relationship. Each bridesmaid wore a different style of dress, befit their personality, which went perfectly with the laid back, casual feel the couple wanted to portray. It was the perfect blend of traditional, sophisticated decor and comfortable, home-spun ambiance.
